Depending on condition and age, the deep mounting points for the rear cowl of the NSX may break. It may be a slight crack or the mounting point can separate completely.
These inserts fit inside the mounting point recessions and provide a new mating surface for their respective screws. They are snug so do not require any glue, unless there is severe separation (broken off entirely). Pictures show both instances. The inserts may also be used as reinforcements to prevent damage to mounting points that have not yet broken.
