Bringing our R32 to the GT-R Festival 2024 in Texas - not Australia

The 2024 GT-R Festival in Texas was the first-ever U.S. edition of a global Nissan GT-R–focused mega event—essentially a purpose-built gathering for Skyline and GT-R culture, performance racing, and aftermarket tuning.
Actually called the "Platinum Racing Products GT-R Festival USA"
November 15–17, 2024
Texas Motorplex, Ennis, Texas

It was positioned as the American expansion of the long-running Australian GT-R Festival. It's a multi-day festival combining drag racing, roll racing, drifting, and car show activities. So we decided to go, and we brought our R32 with us.
Update: This is where the genesis of our R32 Kill Switch was born. We tested our prototype here.
This event was a big deal because it aimed to be the largest dedicated GT-R gathering in the United States, bringing together owners from multiple generations (R32 through R35) and from across the world.
About 7500 people showed up and over 550 cars came from all over the world. We came out from Colorado, but many came from all over the US and even Japan, Australia, Canada, and Europe. For the U.S. GT-R scene, it was basically a TX2K-style energy but 100% GT-R focused.
The weekend blended show + competition + community:
On-track action
- Heads-up drag racing
- Roll racing
- Drift exhibitions
- Autocross passenger rides
Some of the world’s fastest GT-Rs attended, including cars running 6-second quarter-mile passes at 220+ mph, which is serious Pro-Mod territory. Spoiler alert, we were hopeful but ended up having a major issue after one of our main runs.
GT-R's are massive in 🇦🇺 Australia and with new GT-Rs being available in the US along with the rolling 25-year import legal application allowing some of the older models to age in we are seeing a massive following of GT-R's happening in the USA over the past decade.
